Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Lake Forest was a delightful culinary getaway nestled amid nature's beauty. Overlooking the tranquil vista of the lake, the ambiance of the restaurant really struck a chord with me, particularly while enjoying meals next to the indoor pool. It's not every day that you find such serenity paired with delectable cuisine, a dream for any food enthusiast. During my stay, I indulged in several dishes that showcased the rich flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine. The chefs clearly put thought into their craft, sourcing fresh ingredients to create a memorable dining experience. One standout moment was a relaxing dinner, where plates were artfully presented, reflecting the spirit of the local culture. While breakfast had a wide variety of options, a few more choices would have enhanced the experience. That said, every meal was served with attention to detail, which I appreciated as someone who understands the care behind food. The hotel's architecture invokes a sense of harmony with the landscape, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in its charm. A special mention to the attentive staff, who were eager to cater to our needs, making our time there pleasant. If you find yourself in Anuradhapura, it's worth a visit for the food and atmosphere!
